Karnataka: SDPI contests for 19 zill panchayaths, 41 taluk panchayaths

Abdul Majeed Kodlipete, state president of Social Democratic Party of India, said that his party would contest in six districts of the state for Zilla and Taluk Panchayath elections. 
He said that 19 candidates are in fray for Zilla Panchayath while 41 for taluk panchayath.
In Dakshin Kannada, eleven SDPI candidates would contest for Zilla Panchayath while 28 for Taluk Panchath. In Kodagu 3 candidates for ZP and 4 for TP, in Udupi 4 candidates for ZP and 7 for TP and one each candidate for ZP in Kolar and Hasan are contesting election.

He said his party is getting good response from people’s side throughout the state.
“Currently all main parties in the state Congress, BJP and JDS, are indulged in corruption, nepotism and favoritism. People are exhausted of these parties and looking for the change”, he said.

“Preserving rights of all sections of the people is main object of the party. The party is working with the slogan of Free from fear, free from hunger” he added.
“Minorities, Daliths and backward sections are sidelined by all parties that used them only for vote bank. These sections have been remained slaves of ruling classes for the past 63 years. SDPI is aiming to give the power in to the hands of the minority, daliths and backward classes that covers 85% of the country” he said.
He also said that his party would implement the social justice, defined by Dr.B.R.Ambedkar.
He expressed confidence that his party would get good result out of these elections.
