Sdpi protest for innocent vendor beaten by DMK party men

Mohammed Qasim a Foot path vendor in T nagar the shopping hub of Chennai city was attacked by hooligans on 29th dec 2010. The hooligans who identified themselves as the men of DMK’s 126th ward Secretary Tamil Arusu and regularly collected money (mamul) from local vendors in T Nagar. On Wednesday when Mohammed Qasim a local vendor refused to pay the amount he was beaten by the men of DMK ward Secretary. Later the incident the party cadres of SDPi leaded by South Chennai District President P. Mohammed Hussain launched an demonstration at R1 police station T nagar and compelled the police to register the case on the hooligans. The police who earlier delayed the registration of the complaint but did not have other option to register a FIR because the SDPi cadre’s number was constantly increasing and started flooding the police station.

Growth of SDPI can’t be stopped: Tamilnadu Vice President
Palakkad: Nobody can halt the growth of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), the new political organization in India, formed to protect democratic rights of the people especially of those who are backward and marginalized, said Abdul Hameed alias Bilal, vice president of SDPI, Tamilnadu said.
