Sdpi cadre Vinoth an active cadre of SDPI in Thrivottriyur Panchayat was beaten by hooligans of DMK party. On Sunday 26 dec 2010 Vinoth and few party cadres who were doing publicity activity(wall writing) for the SDPI Chennai Zonal Conference (FEB 20, 2011). In mean time few DMK party hooligans intervened the wall writng and beat Vinoth and other SDPI cadres at the spot. due to vengeance.
Later Mrs Amlu Govindarajan wasalso assaulted by the DMK party men.Because of these act the local people got angry and beat the DMK men.

Following these incident 100's SDPI cadres leaded by Ameer N.Chennai President and Rasheed N.Chennai Gen Sec SDpi marched toward the Ennore Satangadu police station and registered a compliant. The police refused to register a FIR but the SDPI cadres compelled the police to register a FIR against the DMK hooligans. SDPi cadres were at the Police station till next day early morning 1.30am(29 dec 2010) and left the station after getting the FIR.
